Summary
"Deadly Lessons" (likewise called "High School Killer") is a 2006 television movie directed by Stuart Orme, starring Jonny Lee Miller and Gary Busey. Plot Summary
Jonny Lee Miller plays Mr. Conners, a high school history teacher at Kennedy High School, known for his unorthodox mentor techniques which change him into an immediate feeling among trainees. However, his life starts spiraling down when Savannah (played by Josie Davis), among his brilliant students, dies in an automobile accident. Quickly after, other trainees begin to pass away, including star athlete Mark (played by Michael Woods), who also dies in an auto accident, and aspiring writer, Brian, who kills himself seemingly without caution. As the death toll begins to rise, the neighborhood plunges into fear and suspicion.

Mystery Unfolds
Conners begins linking the dots when he finds Jack, another trainee, dead with specific symbols carved into his skin. The signs match those discovered in a history book that Conners uses for his lectures. Conners starts investigating this string of strange deaths more intensively.

Examining Officer Garrett (played by Gary Busey) initially doesn't think much of Conners' theories, believing the deaths to be tragic accidents or suicides. However as Conners continues digging, he eventually reveals a frightening pattern connecting the deaths to a historical figure, a serial killer known for engraving signs on his victims, matching the present circumstance.

The Dark Secret
While Conners tries to solve the secret behind the trainee's deaths, there are flashbacks of his own high-school days revealing that Conners and his friends were involved in a prank that went awfully wrong, causing the accidental death of a fellow trainee.
