Film Overview
"Depraved" is a 2019 American horror film written and directed by Larry Fessenden. The movie takes inspiration from Mary Shelley's unique "Frankenstein" and brings the tale into a contemporary setting. The movie stars David Call as Henry, a PTSD-ridden former field surgeon who utilizes his abilities to create life from death, and Alex Breaux as Adam, the resulting animal. Plot
The movie opens with a young man, Alex, entering into an argument with his sweetheart, Lucy. Quickly after, he is assaulted and killed on the streets of Brooklyn. His body is brought to a covert makeshift laboratory, where a PTSD-stricken veteran field surgeon, Henry, brings him back to life. Through non-traditional approaches and unlawful experiments, Henry develops a new male named Adam, utilizing Alex's reanimated remains.

Adam is shown learning at an accelerated rate, with Henry teaching him just like one would a child. However, Adam starts having flashes of a past life, keeping in mind bits from Alex's life.
