Characters and Performances
Mel Gibson remarkably represents Detective Brett Ridgeman, a dissatisfied cop who's been on the force for years without substantial profession advancements. His individual life is maybe more challenging, with a child who's constantly pestered by neighbourhood punks, and an other half afflicted by numerous sclerosis. Vince Vaughn plays Ridgeman's more youthful partner, Anthony Lurasetti, convincingly depicting a blend of ethical conscientiousness and a craving for an economically secure future.

Tory Kittles also provides a powerful performance as Henry Johns, a recently launched found guilty struggling to provide for his wheelchair-bound brother and his mom, who is pushed into prostitution to make ends meet. The interwoven stories of Henry, Biscuit, in addition to Ridgeman and Lurasetti, create an intricate web of morality, brutality, and survival impulses.
