A humanoid alien lands on earth, and soon discovers he likes to eat Italian. Italian people, that is. Incompetent detective McSorely is the only one with a clue about what's going on, and even his grasp of the situation isn't too firm. The rest of the police force thinks he's crazy, while the alien continues sampling the Italian cuisine of New York City.

Plot Summary
The movie revolves around Murray Creature, an obese alien from another planet who visits Earth particularly to eat Italians. Murray is the last of his kind, a species that survives on a diet plan of Italian meat. On Earth, he utilizes his human-like appearance and amusing charm to entice victims, especially Italian Americans, who succumb to his seemingly innocent behavior. Consuming them entire, he continues his horrific spree, triggering a state of panic across the city.

Subsequently, the gruesome series of murders record the attention of the New York Police Department, especially an investigator named Mickey McSorely. Despite the unusual scenarios, McSorely is charged with the job of finding and stopping the alien. He needs to not only unravel the typically occurring disappearances of Italian Americans but also face the ridicule of his colleagues who are incredulous about the presence of an alien.

Characterization
The movie focuses considerably on character advancement. Murray is depicted as an immensely likeable character regardless of his gruesome appetite. His inability to manage his cravings and his despair at being the last of his species are emphasized, setting off a sense of compassion from the audience. Murray, unable to withstand the chance, abruptly abandons the harmful plan and hurries to the contest. There, he feasts on whatever, including the winner's prize, but dies owing to an allergy to the cheap metal the trophy is made from. This accident conserves McSorely's humankind, as he was set to kill Murray. The movie ends with McSorely viewed as a hero who beat the alien.

"Eat and Run" became an odd mix of a funny and a sci-fi movie that gained attention due to its absurd premise. Though the special results were basic, they still handled to raise the surreal story.
