On 28 December 1999, the citizens of New York City are getting ready for the turn of the millennium. However, Satan decides to crash the party by coming to the city and searching for his chosen bride — a 20-year-old woman named Christine York. The world will end, and the only hope lies within an atheist named Jericho Cane.

"End of Days" is a 1999 American supernatural action horror movie directed by Peter Hyams and starring Arnold Schwarzenegger. The movie focuses on the fight in between excellent and evil, set against a Christian mythological background.

The story commences in 1979 when a woman called Christine is born in a prediction depicted by the Vatican due to exceptional celestial positionings. This occasion occurs just once every 1000 years. As the countdown towards the millennium begins, the devil starts his pursuit of Christine, who remains unaware about her fate. Jericho and his partner find Christine following clues left by the prospective assassin, leading them to a "satanic" health center where Christine was born. Recognizing the danger Christine remained in, they strive to protect her from the dark forces.

The duo unravels the prediction as they confront a priest from the Vatican, who revealed the lady's destiny. Unable to manage truth, Christine tries to get away, but the devil catches and seduces her, leading the way for the 'end of days.'

Climax and Resolution
Dispirited by his inability to secure Christine, Jericho feels a simmering rage versus the devil. With newfound resolve mentioning that "in between your faith and my Glock nine millimeter, I'll take the Glock", he invades Satan's hideout. The climax takes a thrilling turn as the fight between Jericho and Satan magnifies.

Although Satan provides Jericho an opportunity to reunite with his family in return for surrendering Christine, Jericho resists temptation. Eventually, Jericho sacrifices himself using Satan's own power to eliminate, saving Christine and holding off the apocalypse.

Conclusion
"End Of Days" is primarily a tale of redemption and faith checked out through an action-packed plot. When a guy on the edge of losing his faith, Jericho's journey towards restoring his belief in God and humankind forms the essence of the story.
