Charlie MacKenzie is an ambitious young career woman who stretches the truth in a job interview by professing to be married with a family. But her little white lie leads to a great big problem when her new boss moves next door. Desperate to maintain her ruse, Charlie “borrows” her best friend’s daughter and scrambles to find a husband-for-hire. When a charming actor accepts the role, Charlie’s charade just may lead her to true love!

The Plot:

Charlie believes that she has created a perfect plan to deceive George. To her delight, George visits Charlie's 'household house' and falls in love with the sweet taste and charm of the kid (Amy). She finds herself getting involved in a web of complexities and puzzles as she tries to manage her work, maintain the deceptiveness, and care for Amy, who relies on be quite a handful.

The Unexpected Twist:
As things unfold, Charlie establishes an authentic bond with her leased family. She enjoys having Buck around and grows connected to Amy. Things take an unanticipated twist when Amy's behavior at the yearly company picnic leads George to suspect that Charlie isn't telling the fact about her household scenario.

The Revelation:
Towards the end, Charlie admits to George about her bogus household, expecting him to fire her. However, George, being a kind-hearted boss, appreciates her honesty and effort. "Family Plan" is a comedy film with a strong psychological undercurrent. Although the storyline is rather predictable, it handles the topic of household and relationships magnificently and provides a potent message about the importance of sincerity and stability. In spite of being a made household, the love and bond between Charlie, Buck, and Amy feel real and heartwarming.
