Upon learning that their mother has been lying to them for years about their allegedly deceased father, two fraternal twin brothers hit the road in order to find him.

Plot
The story focuses on Peter and Kyle Reynolds (Helms and Wilson); 2 fraternal twin brothers who are as distinct as chalk and cheese. They attend their mother's (Glenn Close) wedding where she unexpectedly reveals that she lied about their dad's death and his identity is unknown due to her free-spirited lifestyle in the '70s.

Stunned and excited by the possibility of having their dad alive, the duo embarks on a wild journey to find their real daddy. Their mom offers them with a few possible names, beginning with a well-known football star, Terry Bradshaw, whom Kyle loves. They fulfill Bradshaw, but their pleased bubble is pierced when they discover that their dates of birth don't match with the time Bradshaw was dating their mother.

Unveiling More Potential Fathers
A series of comic and discomforting situations unfold as they satisfy the other 'potential' fathers, a Cop, and a shady wrongdoer, Roland Hunt (J.K Simmons). They also bump into a friendly hitchhiker, played by Katt Williams, who contributes to their experience. Each time they are confronted with dissatisfaction at not finding their father but continue their mission with unfettered enthusiasm.

Unexpected Twist
Their travelling leads them to a remote location where they all of a sudden find Dr. Walter Tinkler (Christopher Walken), their household buddy. They are surprised when Tinkler reveals that their mother utilized his specimen to develop them; for that reason, they are technically Tinkler's children. However, Tinkler recommends that being a father is more about raising and loving than biological connections.

Homecoming and Conclusion
The movie concludes as they return house and reconcile with their mom, lastly accepting the truth about their paternity. They also realize the undeviating bond of brotherhood they have formed throughout their adventurous journey.
