Summary:
"Ghostbusters" (2016) is a supernatural comedy movie, the third feature movie in the Ghostbusters franchise. It's directed by Paul Feig and includes a brilliant cast consisting of Melissa McCarthy, Kristen Wiig, Kate McKinnon, Leslie Jones, and Chris Hemsworth. The movie begins with the introduction of Dr. Erin Gilbert (Kristen Wiig), a physicist working at Columbia University. Her expert life suddenly takes a decline after the re-publication of a book she co-authored with her old good friend, Dr. Abby Yates (Melissa McCarthy) that presumes the presence of paranormal entities. To restore her reputation, Erin encourages Abby to disown the book. Abby settles on the condition that Erin accompanies her and eccentric engineer Dr. Jillian Holtzmann (Kate McKinnon) on their next paranormal examination.

At the Aldridge Mansion, they document and encounter an authentic, malevolent ghost, prompting Erin to join Abby and Jillian's job on a full-time basis. MTA worker Patty Tolan (Leslie Jones) encounters another ghost in a train line, and she joins the group, providing historic understanding, and a car from her uncle's funeral home that ends up being the iconic Ghostbusters car, Ecto-1.

The team's receptionist, dim-witted however good-looking Kevin Beckman (Chris Hemsworth), alerts them of an apparition at a live music venue.
