Introduction
"Godzilla: King of the Monsters" is a Hollywood century mega-monster movie from 2019 directed by Michael Dougherty. The film functions as a follow up to the 2014 reboot of the franchise, "Godzilla", and is the third installment in the shared MonsterVerse by Legendary Pictures.

Plot
The narrative takes place after the disastrous San Francisco events of its prequel. The film's protagonists are the Russell family, including Emma (Vera Farmiga), Mark (Kyle Chandler), and their child Madison (Millie Bobby Brown). Emma, a paleobiologist, develops the "Orca", a gadget that can communicate with and possibly control the Titans (aka the beasts).

The story takes a sinister turn when an eco-terrorist group, led by Alan Jonah (Charles Dance), kidnaps Emma and Madison to use the Orca and awaken all sleeping Titans around the globe. The aim is to restore the natural balance of the Earth's community by having the Titans weed out the weakest of humankind.

Monarch, a crypto-zoological firm, employs the assistance of Mark, who is at first hesitant due to his resentment of the Titans and Godzilla, specifically after their kid's death in the previous film. Ultimately, he occurs to assist and signs up with the mission.

Centerpiece
The terrorists get up a Titan, Ghidorah, who emerges as an alpha competitor to Godzilla. Ghidorah, a worldwide hazard, contacts us to all other Titans to ruin the world. Godzilla, being hurt after a confrontation with Ghidorah, retreats to an ancient underwater lair.

On the other hand, the Monarch team finds that Ghidorah is an extra-terrestrial and not part of the Earth's natural order. As such, Emma's plan backfires with devastating international consequences.

Acknowledging the need of Godzilla, Monarch chooses to resurrect the fallen monster utilizing a nuclear device. The explosion renews Godzilla, leading to the climax of the movie where Godzilla and Ghidorah engage in a fight for the alpha status.

Conclusion
Emma sacrifices herself to make it possible for Godzilla's triumph by using the Orca to distract Ghidorah. Godzilla, supercharged due to the nuclear explosion, ruins Ghidorah, re-asserting his position as the pinnacle predator and King of the Monsters. The movie ends with remaining Titans around the world bowing to Godzilla's dominance, while Monarch reveals a Titan egg that assures the experience will continue.
