Plot Summary
The movie opens with a young Hansel and Gretel being left in the woods by their distraught moms and dads. They stumble upon a candy house and are recorded by a witch. The brother or sisters manage to eliminate the witch and escape, setting a premise for their gruesome profession as witch hunters. Quick forward to the adult years, and the duo is summoned to the small town of Augsburg, Germany, where numerous kids are missing out on. They show up to stop the town sheriff from executing an innocent lady, Mina, who is wrongly accused of witchcraft.

Dark Secrets and Battles
As the examination advances, Hansel and Gretel find that the witches are planning a Blood Moon Sabbath, where they aim to compromise twelve kids to develop a potion that makes them immune to fire. The siblings' race versus time becomes even more complicated when Gretel is abducted by the grand witch, Muriel, who reveals that their mom was a powerful white witch and their daddy was a farmer. Muriel further reveals that Gretel herself holds her mother's power and Muriel's potion requires the heart of a white witch to work.

Resolution
With the help of Ben - a fan of the siblings - and Edward - a troll serving the witches, Hansel saves Gretel and the abducted children. They develop weapons to finally combat the witches at their event. In an intense battle, numerous witches are killed, however Muriel manages to wound Hansel before leaving. Gretel faces Muriel alone. With an unexpected awareness of her own power, Gretel handles to remove Muriel. The siblings save all the children intended to be sacrificed and Hansel and Gretel decide to continue their journey, battling versus and hunting down every wicked witch out there.

Conclusion
Hansel & Gretel: Witch Hunters adds a dark twist to the Grimm fairy tale, abandoning the childhood innocence for violent witch hunts, gritty visuals, and gothic horror elements. The central focus of the film is the bond between the brother or sisters, their shared past, and how they operate as a team against the witches.
