Film Overview

The Plot

On the eve of being crowned the Easter Bunny, E.B. flees to Hollywood where he's hit by Fred O'Hare (James Marsden), an out of work slacker imagining having his own task.

E.B., pretending to be an ordinary anthropomorphic bunny, controls Fred into supplying him shelter. In the meantime, the Easter Bunny snaps and disappointed about his son's disappearance and dispatches the royal guards, the Pink Berets, to find E.B. Back in LA, Fred and E.B. have different adventures and close shaves, all while forming an unlikely friendship.

Sub-Plot and Climax
At the same time, within the Easter Bunny's factory, an ambitious, extra-large chick named Carlos (voiced by Hank Azaria) prepares a coup to be the brand-new Easter Bunny. He feels he's more fit for the role given that chicks do most of the Easter preparation. The climax develops when Carlos takes control of the factory and E.B., with Fred's aid, need to conserve Easter from falling into the wrong hands.

The Conclusion
In the end, E.B. and Fred manage to outsmart Carlos and restore peace in the factory. They convince E.B.'s papa that even a human can end up being the Easter Bunny if he truly enjoys and understands the holiday. With this, Fred is appointed as the very first human Easter Bunny, and he delivers the sweet under E.B's guidance. E.B., understanding his daddy's job has more significance than he thought, also help Fred to preserve the tradition.

On an individual level, Fred heals his relationship with his household, who were earlier disappointed due to his lack of a steady job.
