I Am Legend (2007)

Left with his German shepherd, Sam, he browses the despair of the empty city, hunting during the day when the creatures are inactive and barricading himself in his fortified home at night.

While Neville hunts and scavenges in the desolate city during the day, he spends his nights operating in his basement laboratory, trying to reverse-engineer a treatment from his immune blood. His life takes a poignant turn when his pet, Sam, who has been his only companion, is contaminated and developed into a Darkseeker. Heartbroken, Neville has no option but to euthanize her.

Plot Progression
