Plot Summary

Character Developments
Akash, unrelenting in his pursuit for Ishkq and driven by his sensations, seeks advice from a love-doctor, Marie (Isabelle Adjani). Marie advises Akash to make Ishkq envious, however the plan backfires as Ishkq translates it as Akash's insensitivity. Consequently, they have a dispute, resulting in them parting ways once again.

Akash, recognizing his error, leaves no stone unturned to win back Ishkq's heart, lastly admitting his love for her on the most romantic evening - The Pont Neuf Bridge. However, she asks him to leave, still haunted by her moms and dads' stopped working relationship.

Climax and Conclusion
The emotional action from Ishkq activates her mother, Maria (Isabelle Adjani), into action. Maria reveals to Ishkq that she was the one who deserted Ishkq's dad rather than the other way round and that dedication indeed didn't lead to heartbreak each time.

Upon hearing this, Ishkq understands her misconception of love and goes to find Akash. She asks forgiveness to him and admits that she is love with him too. The film ends on a cheerful note with both Akash and Ishkq choosing to take a chance on love and devoting to each other.

Reception of the Film
"Ishkq in Paris" was primarily praised for its picturesque locales and Zinta's performance, but it did not fare well commercially and garnered mixed evaluations from critics for its absence of creativity in the script and foreseeable storyline. Nevertheless, it was still appreciated by a specific area of the audience for its light-hearted take on modern relationships.
