Introduction
"Justice League: Throne of Atlantis" is a 2015 direct-to-video animated superhero movie concentrating on the DC Comics superhero group, the Justice League. Produced by Warner Bros. Animation, this movie is a part of the DC Universe Animated Original Movies. The story pays homage to the comic arc, 'Throne of Atlantis', mixing action, funny, and drama in the abundant narrative that explores the stress between the surface area world and undersea Atlanteans.

Plot Summary
The film follows Arthur Curry, a modest lighthouse keeper, who is uninformed of his Atlantean heritage. Arthur's mom is Atlanna, the queen of Atlantis, who had actually left her realm years earlier and fell for a human. The queen's consultant, Thar, fabricates her death to trigger hostilities with the surface world and dismiss Arthur's half-brother, Prince Orm.

Dragging Arthur into the political turmoil, the Justice League investigates the concern amidst growing suspicions about the cause of the Atlantean queen's death. However, they fall under Orm's trap and are recorded. On the other hand, Mera, a follower to the queen, rescues Arthur, tells him about his real heritage, and reveals the plot to him.

Arthur's Transformation
As Orm takes the mantle of Ocean Master, preparing an intrusion against the surface world, Arthur undergoes a transformation. Mentored by Mera, he discovers his abilities and unique position as a bridge between two worlds. Arthur steps up to his fate, assuming the identity of Aquaman. He recovers the royal spear deserted by his mom from a creature safeguarding it, supplying proof of his royal lineage.

Climax and Conclusion
In an effort to avoid a war, Aquaman, together with Mera and the released Justice League members, challenges Orm. A fight ensues, and Orm practically overpowers Arthur. Nevertheless, risking her life, Mera offers the diversion necessary for Aquaman to recover and defeat his half-brother. The Atlanteans, experiencing Arthur's strength and honor, accept him as their king.

In the after-effects, Arthur is crowned King of Atlantis with Mera by his side. Spending quality time in both Atlantis and the surface area world, Arthur ends up being a living symbol of unity in between the two worlds. The Justice League extends a permanent place for him on the team, which he happily accepts.

Overall Reception
