Agents J and K are back...in time. J has seen some inexplicable things in his 15 years with the Men in Black, but nothing, not even aliens, perplexes him as much as his wry, reticent partner. But when K's life and the fate of the planet are put at stake, Agent J will have to travel back in time to put things right. J discovers that there are secrets to the universe that K never told him - secrets that will reveal themselves as he teams up with the young Agent K to save his partner, the agency, and the future of humankind.

Film Overview
"Men in Black 3" is a 2012 American sci-fi action funny film, the third installation in the Men in Black movie series. It is directed by Barry Sonnenfeld and includes a star-studded cast including Will Smith, Tommy Lee Jones, and Josh Brolin. The movie primarily depends upon time travel whereby Will Smith's character must avoid a dreadful event that could potentially change history.

The Plot
The film starts with alien criminal Boris the Animal (Jemaine Clement) getting away from a high-security jail on the moon, looking for vengeance versus Agent K (Tommy Lee Jones) who had detained him and caused him to lose his arm.

On the other hand on Earth, Agents K and J (Will Smith) continue their work as 'Men in Black', supervising alien activity and ensuring it stays a trick from the general public. But then J gets up one day to find that K has actually inexplicably vanished and no one else remembers him. Through recognizing an altered timeline, J discovers Boris' escape and understands that Boris has traveled back in time to eliminate K in 1969.

Time Travel
J gets permission to time-jump to 1969 to save K from Boris. He fulfills a young Agent K (Josh Brolin), who at first does not trust J but later on they team up to defeat Boris together. The duo tracks Boris's location and finds he is attempting to introduce a hazardous alien types, the ArcNet to Earth which could wipe out people, causing the invasion of the Boglodite, Boris's alien race.

Resolution and Reveal
In the climax, at Apollo 11's launch site, a fight occurs and ultimately, they manage to release the ArcNet on Apollo 11, which develops an impenetrable guard for Earth, preventing the Boglodite invasion. At the same time, J and K eliminate both the young and older Boris respectively.

In a major plot expose, we discover that Agent K had actually not been cold towards J for many years without reason. K, the boy existed on the day of J's dad's death helping the man to guarantee the launch of Apollo-11; a sacrifice made to save the world. K conveniences a young and afraid J (who existed at the scene), erases his memory and watches on him as he grows up, preparing him for his future in the MIB.

Conclusion
Going back to today, J now understands K's apparent aloofness. The movie ends on a lighter note, showcasing the restored and strengthened bond between Agents J and K.

Men in Black 3 blends funny, action, and drama entirely to provide an amusing storytelling experience. It not just retains its sci-fi and comical components from the franchise but likewise presents sincere and emotional elements around the relationship characteristics between the lead characters. With its innovative use of time travel theory, the film provides an amazing and poignant viewpoint on domino effect of actions throughout various durations in time.
