P-A-X-497/341, aka “Pax” , a curious young man from the well-ordered but loveless future, travels to present day New Orleans in search of romance novelist Elizabeth Barrett – whose book he has come upon during an archeological dig in the year 3127. Hoping Elizabeth can explain the concept of love to him, which is now nonexistent in his time, Pax embarks on an adventure filled with new discoveries. Elizabeth introduces Pax to life in the year 2011, filled with love, music and of course, destiny. When Pax doesn’t return to the future by the given deadline, Bob, his fellow scientist, travels back in time to find him. Meanwhile, as Elizabeth helps Pax learn about love, she ends up confiding in her colleague, played by Valerie Harper, about her own upcoming “surprise” engagement.

Introduction
"My Future Boyfriend" is a 2011 romantic funny sci-fi movie directed by Michael Lange and composed by James Orr and Jim Cruickshank. Starring Sarah Rue, Barry Watson, and Fred Willard, the movie is embeded in 2 disparate ages-- today and a future lacking love and emotional connections. The plot centres around a future guy called Pax who falls in love with Elizabeth Barrett's unique and seeks her out, taking a trip back in time to reveal his freshly discovered sensations.

Main Plot
Pax (Barry Watson) lives in the future, the year 3127, where society is extremely advanced, but completely lacking psychological intimacy and romantic love. He operates at a museum as an anthropologist, where he initially discovers the concept of love in an old romance novel composed by Elizabeth Barrett. Enthralled by the idea of love, Pax takes a trip back in time to satisfy the author and learn about this apparently extinct emotion.

Upon getting in the present-day world, he finds that Elizabeth Barrett is not the author he believed she was. Instead, she is a young woman (Sara Rue) working at a publication. They satisfy when Elizabeth is close to quiting on real love after a series of failed relationships. Interested by the naive and really romantic Pax, she takes him under her wing.

Developing Romance and Conflict
As the pair hang around together, Pax learns more about love straight from the experiences that Elizabeth shares, including her failed relationships. All at once, Elizabeth is fascinated by Pax's innocence and earnest quest to comprehend love. They develop a deep bond, ultimately resulting in love - which is what Pax had can be found in search of.

However the difference of their worlds brings conflict. Pax's coach, Bob (Fred Willard) returns in time to take Pax, revealing Pax's origin to Elizabeth. Unfortunately, the law in Pax's time forbids time-travelers from remaining in the past. Pax is required to return to the future, leaving Elizabeth behind, in addition to his newly found grasp of love.

Resolution and Conclusion
Not able to forget Pax, Elizabeth utilizes her writing skills to craft a love letter and buries it, hoping Pax would find it in the future. Countless years later, Pax finds the letter in his time. Rekindling his love for Elizabeth, he chooses to challenge society's guidelines, and with the aid of Bob, he travels back in time to be with Elizabeth.

In the end, the movie concludes on a hopeful note, suggesting that love can transcend time and societal barriers. "My Future Boyfriend" uses an engaging combination of love, humor, and sci-fi aspects, highlighting the ageless and universal appeal of love. It depicts the lengths individuals will go to, even challenging society's guidelines and norms, to value and protect their love. The movie's well-drawn characters, engaging story, and remarkable comedic minutes make it a really heartfelt viewing experience.
