Saban's Power Rangers follows five ordinary teens who must become something extraordinary when they learn that their small town of Angel Grove — and the world — is on the verge of being obliterated by an alien threat. Chosen by destiny, our heroes quickly discover they are the only ones who can save the planet. But to do so, they will have to overcome their real-life issues and before it’s too late, band together as the Power Rangers.

Film Overview
"Power Rangers" is a 2017 American superhero film directed by Dean Israelite and composed by John Gatins. It serves as a reboot and reimagining of the hit Power Rangers franchise, and features the primary characters of the original Mighty Morphin Power Rangers tv series. The movie follows a group of high school students who obtain superpowers, morph into the Power Rangers, and work together to conserve the world.

Plot Introduction
The plot happens in the town of Angel Grove, where 5 troubled high school students Jason, Billy, Kimberly, Zack, and Trini unintentionally discover ancient alien artifacts that give them superhuman capabilities. They find that these stones are linked to an ancient spaceship buried close by and carrying an extraterrestrial being called Zordon.

Zordon's Revelation
Zordon, the last surviving warrior of a long-dead group of Power Rangers, determines the students as his successors. Through a robotic named Alpha 5, he divulges that an ancient villainous alien named Rita Repulsa is returning with an objective to find the Zeo Crystal, a powerful artifact which can terraform and obliterate Earth.

Training to Become Power Rangers
To conserve mankind, the five students need to accept their destiny to transform into the Power Rangers. They go through intensive physical and psychological training to morph, an ability just possible when they shed their personal concerns and discover to rely on one another totally. At first, their individual conflicts impede their ability to morph, however when Billy's life is threatened by a desperate action by Rita, their unity to conserve him lastly allows them to morph into the Power Rangers.

The Final Battle
Rita, now in her complete strength, creates Goldar, a giant beast made of molten gold to remove the Zeo Crystal. The Rangers charge into a face-off versus Goldar and Rita, which escalates into a city-wide battle. The Rangers lethally wound Goldar, obtain the Zeo Crystal, and jettison Rita into area, saving the Earth.

Conclusion
In the end, the Rangers, now accepted as heroes, return to their regular lives but remain ready for future risks.
