After surviving an assault from a squad of hit men, retired CIA black ops agent Frank Moses reassembles his old team for an all-out war. Frank reunites with old Joe, crazy Marvin and wily Victoria to uncover a massive conspiracy that threatens their lives. Only their expert training will allow them to survive a near-impossible mission -- breaking into CIA headquarters.

Introduction
"RED" is an American action-comedy movie directed by Robert Schwentke, released in 2010. The film features an ensemble cast including Bruce Willis, Morgan Freeman, John Malkovich, Helen Mirren, and Mary-Louise Parker. It is loosely based on the restricted comics series of the exact same name released by DC Comics. The title "RED" is an acronym for "Retired, Extremely Dangerous".

Plot
The film starts with Frank Moses (Bruce Willis), a retired CIA agent living a boring life. He keeps himself amused by talking with Sarah Ross (Mary-Louise Parker), a customer support representative for his pension checks. Frank's mundane life takes a turn when one night, a hit team attacks his home. Although he effectively takes them out, he becomes aware that he has been marked for termination.

Trapping The Old Gang
Frank takes it upon himself to secure Sarah and abducts her after their phone conversation is obstructed. Hereafter, he locates his former associates for responses. His old group consists of Joe Matheson (Morgan Freeman), Marvin Boggs (John Malkovich), and Victoria (Helen Mirren), all of whom are likewise 'RED'. As Frank's team reunites, they utilize their old-school methods to discover who desires them dead, resulting in many action-filled, comical moments.

The Conspiracy Unfolds
The group finds that they are on the hit list since they were involved in a mission in Guatemala in the 1980s which is now considered politically harmful. The Vice President, who commissioned the hit, sends the exceptionally competent CIA agent William Cooper (Karl Urban) to eliminate them. The team chooses to burglarize the CIA headquarters to expose the fact and stop the efforts on their lives.

Climax
They effectively penetrate the CIA, where they discover a plot that includes a list of corrupt authorities. Prior to they can expose the list, they are recorded and required to the Vice President to get assassinated. Nevertheless, the group outmaneuvers their captors, causing a significant showdown between them and Agent Cooper. Frank handles to convince Agent Cooper about the conspiracy outlined by the Vice President.

Conclusion
The film ends with Vice President being apprehended for his criminal activities. Post this, Agent Cooper lets the team go, and Frank begins a romantic relationship with Sarah. While the group is ready to calm down, Marvin notifies them about an establishing situation in Moldova, hinting at an extension.
