Keong comes from Hong Kong to visit New York for his uncle's wedding. His uncle runs a market in the Bronx and Keong offers to help out while Uncle is on his honeymoon. During his stay in the Bronx, Keong befriends a neighbor kid and beats up some neighborhood thugs who cause problems at the market. One of those petty thugs in the local gang stumbles into a criminal situation way over his head.

Plot
Keong (Jackie Chan) takes a trip from Hong Kong to New York City to attend his uncle Bill's wedding. Keong chooses to assist Elaine in the shift procedure and ultimately finds himself drawn into the city's underworld.

Keong befriends a neighbor's kid-- Danny, who is wheelchair-bound. Unknowingly, he gets involved in a feud with a community bike gang, led by Tony and Angelo. The gang vandalizes Elaine's shop however Keong fearlessly battles them off, which results in a series of run-ins between him and the gang.

Extreme Action and Complications
After a series of incidents consisting of getting caught in a diamond break-in by a mob, Keong discovers that the gang members unknowingly have a stash of diamonds, leading to more conflicts. The diamonds come from a criminal activity distribute led by White Tiger. Keong rescues Danny who is held hostage by the gangsters, and hides the diamonds.

The circumstance escalates even more when the syndicate strikes back against the gang, causing a full-blown gang war. Keong, with his martial arts skills, typically overpowers his enemies. In an amusing yet significant scene, the bandaged Keong and the gang team up to deal with the syndicate in a funhouse showdown.

Resolution
In the final battle, Keong ingeniously uses a hovercraft which harms their cars and the beach, eventually leading to a showdown with White Tiger. At the end of an exhausting fight, he handles to defeat White Tiger and his henchmen. The film ends on a high note with Keong recording White Tiger utilizing a smart method with the hovercraft.

Reception
