From DC Comics comes the Suicide Squad, an antihero team of incarcerated supervillains who act as deniable assets for the United States government, undertaking high-risk black ops missions in exchange for commuted prison sentences.

Introduction
"Suicide Squad" is a 2016 American superhero film based on the DC Comics supervillain group of the same name. The third installation in the DC Extended Universe (DCEU), it was written and directed by David Ayer and stars an ensemble cast consisting of Will Smith, Jared Leto, Margot Robbie, Joel Kinnaman, Viola Davis, and numerous others. The film follows a group of imprisoned supervillains who are recruited by a secret government firm for a hazardous objective in exchange for clemency.

Plot Overview

The story starts with intelligence officer Amanda Waller (Viola Davis) encouraging the government to form a team of hazardous crooks and metahumans as a contingency strategy against hazards. She puts together the group jointly known as Task Force X, made up of gunman Deadshot (Will Smith), psychopath Harley Quinn (Margot Robbie), burglar Captain Boomerang, pyrokinetic El Diablo, and mutant Killer Croc, headed by Colonel Rick Flag (Joel Kinnaman).

The Suicide Squad is then dispatched to Midway City to stop the apocalyptic risk postured by Enchantress and her brother Incubus. Initially reluctant, the group decides to complete the objective, each with their own individual motivations. Deadshot seeks to reunite with his daughter, Harley Quinn is fueled by her twisted love for Joker (Jared Leto), while El Diablo finds redemption in the chance.

Resolution

Throughout their objective, the Suicide Squad deals with several difficulties, including their internal dissensions, the ruthless horde of Enchantress, and the disturbing obsession of Joker to totally free Harley Quinn. However, despite their inherent selfishness and contempt for each other, the group manages to interact to beat Enchantress and save the city.
