Plot

Throughout his experiment, Banzai crosses courses with an alien race from Planet 10 called the Red Lectroids led by Lord John Whorfin (John Lithgow). Whorfin is actually a mad researcher named Dr. Emilio Lizardo who got possessed by the leader of the Red Lectroids while attempting a comparable experiment in the 1930s. The Red Lectroids were gotten rid of to the 8th Dimension by the peace-loving Black Lectroids from Planet 10 and Whorfin/Lizardo aims to build an Overthruster to get back his associates.

Conflict and Resolution
Upon discovering Whorfin's intents, a race against time occurs. Buckaroo needs to stop Whorfin and the Red Lectroids from setting their comrades free and causing a galactic war with the Black Lectroids, who threaten to destroy Earth if Whorfin isn't stopped. Assisted by his group, the Hong Kong Cavaliers, and Penny Priddy (Ellen Barkin) - a damsel with a previous linked to Banzai's departed other half, they take part in a battle to save the world from the taking place mayhem.

Banzai handles to reveal the Red Lectroids' real identity to the world using his music and with assistance from his team and some unexpected allies. In the climax, Buckaroo and his group get into the Lectroids' spaceship where they stop Whorfin from succeeding in his strategies. Subsequently, the Black Lectroids assist in the aliens' eradication, avoid destruction, and the world returns to normal.
