Film Summary
"The Foreigner" is a British-Chinese action thriller film that was launched in 2017. The movie stars Jackie Chan and Pierce Brosnan, was directed by Martin Campbell, and based on the 1992 unique 'The Chinaman' by Stephen Leather.

Plot Summary
The film starts with humble dining establishment owner and devoted daddy, Quan Ngoc Minh (Jackie Chan) living a peaceful life in London. His serenity shatters when his teenage child Fan (Katie Leung) dies in a politically motivated terrorism bomb blast. Seeking responses and vengeance, Quan relies on the authorities, however when he finds them unhelpful, he takes matters into his own hands.

The battle is declared by "the Authentic IRA", an extremist group. Quan thinks Liam Hennessy (Pierce Brosnan), a previous Irish Republican Army (IRA) member turned British government authorities, has significant understanding about the bombers. Quan confronts Hennessy, revealing his past as a lethal Vietnam War unique forces operator, and begins a compulsive hunt for the bombers, pressing Hennessy to expose what he knows.
