Overview
"The Lost Prince" is a 2020 French romantic fantasy film directed by Michel Hazanavicius. The movie tells a magical and heartfelt tale of Djibi (Omar Sy), a devoted single dad who transfers his 7-year-old child, Sofia (Sarah Gaye), into the charming world of fairy tales every night prior to bed, with Djibi always the worthy Prince Charming. The movie beautifully explores themes of parenthood, love, maturation, and the power of stories.

Plot Summary
Djibi's discourses play out in a vibrant alternate world where Djibi, as the dashing Prince Charming, fights witches, giants, and evil stepmothers to secure young Sofia. His efforts guarantee that every tale culminates with 'happily ever after'. To Sofia, these stories are more than just bedtime tales; they are a shared adventure with her cherished dad, and Djibi is constantly the hero.

Time expires, and Sofia (now played by Keyla Fala), is a teenager. Djibi discovers that the affectionate practice of storytelling, established 7 years prior, is failing. As Sofia's individual and social life evolves, her daddy is gradually replaced by other characters as the hero in her imaginative stories. A worried Djibi deals with this change, discovering it difficult to let go of the magical world he has actually produced for his daughter and face her march toward independence.

Characters and Performances
Omar Sy provides a wholehearted efficiency as Djibi. His portrayal of a caring father navigating the nuances of single being a parent, while endeavouring to sustain a fantastical bond with his child, helps with a psychological connection with the audience. Newcomer Keyla Fala renders an excellent portrayal of a teenage Sofia, convincingly depicting the character's growing need for independence and uniqueness.

Cinematic Techniques
The film's visual looks beautifully mix reality with fantasy. In the real world, the environment has a soft, made up tone while the fairy-tale kingdom bursts with color, life, and action. The juxtaposition of these two worlds adds to the overarching themes of the movie.

The unique results utilized in the fairy tale sequences do an exceptional task improving the magical elements of those scenes, especially Djibi's changes into Prince Charming. The storybooks that frame these scenes enhance the captivating atmosphere of the fairy-tale world.

With its heartfelt story and wonderful visuals, it highlights the significance of parental love and the enduring power of storytelling.
