This movie features stars such as Tom Cruise, Sofia Boutella, Annabelle Wallis, and Russell Crowe. Although it is the very first of the Dark Universe beast movie series, it is also a reboot of The Mummy franchise.

Plot Summary
The plot of The Mummy focuses on an ancient Egyptian princess, Ahmanet (Sofia Boutella), who is mummified alive as a penalty for killing her daddy and attempting to take the throne. Thousands of years later, her burial place is found by Nick Morton (Tom Cruise) and his group. After mistakenly awakening Ahmanet, Nick becomes cursed, bring the spirit of the Egyptian god of death.

The Curse and the Struggle

However, this strategy stops working when Jekyll changes into his wicked change ego, Mr. Hyde, making complex the scenario.

A Dramatic Conclusion
In the climax scene, Nick steals the dagger Ahmanet requires to fulfill her strategy and uses it on himself, willingly welcoming Set into his body. Unlike Ahmanet's intent, rather of being fully possessed by Set, Nick gains control over the god's powers. Using these newfound abilities, he defeats Ahmanet and restores Jennifer, who was earlier eliminated by Ahmanet.
