The Return of Spinal Tap Poster

Spinal Tap is back in a whole new feature-length rockumentary. Go behind the scenes and find out where the somewhat-less-than-fab three (Christopher Guest, Michael McKean and Harry Shearer) are now -- and where it all began in Squatney, England. Also, catch up with director Marty DiBergi (Rob Reiner), ex-Polymer marketing whiz Artie Fufkin (Paul Shaffer), and Jeanine (June Chadwick), who now owns a shop specializing in itchy Irish clothing.

Film Overview
"The Return of Spinal Tap" is a 1992 mockumentary film. It is a follow-up to the 1984 cult classic "This is Spinal Tap" which was conceived, directed and starred Rob Reiner. This mockumentary movie is directed by Jim Di Bergi and features the fictional rock group 'Spinal Tap'.

Plot Summary
"The Return of Spinal Tap" records the reunited band roughly seven years after their initial split. The group includes the original trio-- David St. Hubbins (Michael McKean), Nigel Tufnel (Christopher Guest), and Derek Smalls (Harry Shearer). The movie is set around their 'real' 1992 United States trip with real concert video footage, in addition to behind-the-scenes documentary-style video.

Throughout the film, the band members recollect about their rock-n-roll past and the imagination between the group's members, which is simply as haphazard and comical as in the original film. The highlights of the film consist of the band's journey to Elvis Presley's Graceland, performing at a military base, and a satirical storyline about the band's financial problem due to their manager's financial investment in themed restaurant ventures.
