Story
Kylie Watson (Lacey Chabert), an ambitious pastry chef, applies to the prestigious Gingerbread Competition at the American Gingerbread Competition with the goal of using the cash prize to open her own bakery. When Kylie's oven breaks down, Nick, who is also her property owner and owner of a local pizzeria, offers her to use his dining establishment's devices. Nick also attempts to mend their relationship which ended years ago due to their varying life strategies.

Difficulties and Progress
Unbeknownst to Kylie, her current partner, Alex Rogers (Jonathan Adams), plans to propose to her. Alex, whose profession revolves around his household service and not around making Kylie's dreams become a reality, decides to propose on television, more making complex the situation.

Meanwhile, Kylie discovers it hard to focus as she spends time with Nick while baking in his restaurant for the competitors. Their chemistry revives as they collaborate towards Kylie's dream.

All at once, Nick confesses his sensations to Kylie and guarantees that he would always prioritize and support her dreams. In another twist, Kylie's application to the competition is accepted due to a last-minute dropout. She winds up winning the competitors, which brings her one step better to opening her pastry shop.
