Forks, Washington resident Bella Swan is reeling from the departure of her vampire love, Edward Cullen, and finds comfort in her friendship with Jacob Black, a werewolf. Introduction
"The Twilight Saga: New Moon" is a 2009 romantic fantasy movie directed by Chris Weitz and starring Kristen Stewart, Robert Pattinson, and Taylor Lautner. The movie is based upon Stephenie Meyer's 2006 novel New Moon and the sequel to the 2008 movie Twilight. The story revolves around Bella Swan, a teenage woman who falls for a vampire called Edward Cullen. New Moon sees their relationship tested as supernatural events bear down on them.

Plot Summary
The film starts on Bella Swan's 18th birthday, which she celebrates with her vampire partner Edward Cullen and his household. During the celebration, Bella accidentally cuts her finger and incites a reaction from Jasper, Edward's bro, who is gotten rid of by her blood. This close encounter triggers Edward to leave Forks, Washington with his household to protect Bella from the threats of their world.

Conflict and Resolution
After leaping off a cliff, Bella incites a series of miscommunications that make Edward think she is dead. In anguish, Edward chooses to end his never-ceasing life by provoking Volturi, an effective vampire coven in Italy. Upon hearing this, Bella and Alice, Edward's sis, rush to Italy to conserve him.

Bella successfully stops Edward in the nick of time to avoid him from exposing his supernatural abilities to human beings, an act punishable by death according to the vampire's law. They are nonetheless brought before the Volturi. Bella provides to voluntarily change into a vampire to conserve Edward's life, but the head of the Volturi, Aro, chooses to let them leave with a caution and the stipulation that Bella ultimately should be transformed into a vampire.

After returning to Forks, Edward describes to Bella that he delegated protect her and professes his everlasting love for her. The film ends with Edward's proposal to Bella, asking her to marry him.

Conclusion
"The Twilight Saga: New Moon" is a poignant story of a teenage girl in love with a vampire who leaves her to keep her safe from his dangerous world. Wrecked with heartbreak, Bella discovers comfort in her relationship (and possible more) with Jacob Black, who has supernatural tricks of his own.
