Young Dorothy finds herself in a magical world where she makes friends with a lion, a scarecrow and a tin man as they make their way along the yellow brick road to talk with the Wizard and ask for the things they miss most in their lives. The Wicked Witch of the West is the only thing that could stop them.

Overview
"The Wizard of Oz" is among the most popular and long-lasting films in American cinema. Released in 1939 and directed by Victor Fleming, the motion picture is a musical fantasy understood for its ingenious use of Technicolor. It's based on the 1900 kids's book "The Wonderful Wizard of Oz" by L. Frank Baum.

Plot
The film begins in Kansas with Dorothy Gale, a girl imagining a land far away from home. After a violent twister propels her home, with Dorothy and her pet dog Toto inside it, to a strange world, she discovers herself in the wonderful Land of Oz. Here generally ordinary products of her Kansas life handle brand-new types. Her home lands on and eliminates the Wicked Witch of the East and Dorothy ends up being a hero to the 'Munchkins', the town's dwarf inhabitants. She is given the witch's captivated Ruby Slippers, stated to have magically powerful homes. She sets out to discover the Wizard of Oz who, she's informed, has the power to send her back house.

Journey Through Oz
Guided by Glinda, the Good Witch of the North, Dorothy follows the Yellow Brick Road towards the Emerald City, the home of the Wizard. On her journey, she befriends a variety of characters who possess qualities they themselves think they do not have: a Scarecrow searching for a brain, a Tin Man wanting a heart, and a Cowardly Lion looking for nerve. These characters sign up with Dorothy in hope that the Wizard can assist them too.

Encounter with The Wizard of Oz
On reaching the Emerald City, they discover that the wizard will just give their dreams if they bring back the broomstick of the Wicked Witch of the West. After a perilous journey, they succeed, but then discover that the Wizard is a mere scams, a regular guy using impressions to appear magical.

The Realization
Despite the Wizard's inability to approve their dreams amazingly, he helps them realize that the qualities they sought (brains, heart, courage) were within them all along. Dorothy is informed by Glinda that the Ruby Slippers can send her back home. Dorothy understands that home is where the heart is and she didn't require to look for it in other places.

Go back to Kansas
With a set of heels clicks of the wonderful Ruby Slippers and the phrase "There's no location like home", Dorothy returns to Kansas to discover her family safe, and the whole adventure in the Land of Oz had just been a dream-- or was it?
