"Trick" is a 2019 American scary film directed by Patrick Lussier and co-written with Todd Farmer. It stars Omar Epps as Detective Mike Denver, a male identified to stop a serial killer on a rampage, Jaime Kennedy as Dr. Steven, and Thom Niemann as the titular character, Patrick "Trick" Weaver.

Plot Synopsis
The story of "Trick" begins in 2015 on Halloween night, where highschool trainee Patrick "Trick" Weaver goes on a killing spree at a costume celebration. After stabbing several people, he's captured, shot, stabbed and falls out of a five-story window. Remarkably, Trick manages to leave the health center, causing a manhunt that ends with him probably drowning in a river.

Every Halloween for the next four years, similar massacre events take place in surrounding towns leading Detective Denver, the initial investigator, to think that Trick is unbelievely still alive and continuing his killing spree. The local authorities, however, believe these are the acts of a copycat because they found Trick's dead body. The only individual who supports Denver's theory is survivor and school principal Cheryl Winston, who has actually been getting yearly, puzzling Halloween cards she believes are from Trick.
