Plot Summary
The film opens with a group of young tourists including Alex, his sis Bea, her friend Amy, and travel companions Pru, Finn, and Liam, traveling through Brazil. After a near-tragic bus mishap leaves them stranded in the middle of no place, they wind up in a beachfront bar in a little Brazilian town.

They begin joining the regional population, consisting of a young girl named Kiko who seems friendly. After investing the night in reveling and consuming, they wake up to find their personal belongings have been stolen. Kiko provides to direct them to a secluded home, hidden deep in the jungle, assuring them it's safe.

The Creepy House
Once they reach the house, they soon find that it's anything but safe and they become hostages. The house belongs to a sinister cosmetic surgeon called Dr. Zamora who was banished from the United States for prohibited organ harvesting. Zamora and his wife are now continuing their illicit work in Brazil, preying on unsuspecting travelers, believing they are contributing to a much better trigger by taking organs from travelers and utilizing them for transplants to conserve local lives.

Frightening Revelation
As the grim truth sets in, the tourists understand their lives are in risk. They are drugged and tortured, while the evil surgeon prepares to gather their organs. Pru, who's proficient in Portuguese, is the only one who understands their captor's plans first and manages to get away before any surgical procedure is performed on her. The others are not as lucky. Amy is the first of the group to be run upon and passes away as an outcome of her surgical treatment.

Escape and Conclusion
The survivors eventually manage to leave thanks to the help of Kiko, who has a change of heart and leads them to safety. An extreme chase occurs through the jungle with Zamora and his henchmen in pursuit. Kiko sacrifices himself, exploding your home and the operating room to distract the pursuers and ensure the others reach safety.

Finn and Liam pass away throughout the escape, leaving only Alex, Bea, and Pru alive. They handle to reach the beach simply as a boat passes by, and they wave it down for rescue, leaving the horrors of the Brazilian jungle behind them.

Conclusion
"Turistas" serves as a gruesome and graphic reflection on the dark side of vacationing in an unknown territory. The film's raw representation of organ theft sends a chill down the spine, kept alive by gritty character performances and a resonant eerie environment.
