Introduction
"Wait Until Dark" is a thrilling 1967 suspense film directed by Terence Young. The film, adjusted from a play of the very same name, communicates a story of deceptiveness, danger, and survival. It includes an extraordinary efficiency from Audrey Hepburn as a blind female targeted by ruthless bad guys.

Main Plot
Hepburn plays Susy Hendrix, a just recently blinded lady wed to expert photographer, Sam (Efrem Zimbalist Jr.). Sam, unwittingly, is offered a doll filled with heroin from a stranger in an airport and brings it home. This doll becomes the focal point of the story as a trio of bad guys: Roat (Alan Arkin), Mike (Richard Crenna), and Carlino (Jack Weston), endeavor to obtain the doll, believing it to be in the Hendrix's home.

The trio creates numerous deceptive plans, impersonating various characters to get Susy's trust and access to her home. Mike plays a pal of Sam, Carlino pretends to be a police officer, and Roat switches in between a disturbed old male and his 'child.' Uninformed of their real intents and thinking her partner to be in danger, Susy allows them into her home, unsuspectingly welcoming threats.

Dispute and Resolution
The control by the crooks is slowly realized by Susy, causing an intense dispute. Susy finds the reality after a girl living in the upstairs home, Gloria (Julie Herrod), reveals disparities in the criminals' stories and actions. This realization shifts the motion picture into a scaled-up battle for survival, with Susy leveraging her blindness as a benefit.

The motion picture's climax occurs during a large electrical energy blackout, throughout which Susy breaks all the lights she can find to produce an equal opportunity with her opponents. She manages to eliminate Roat in self-defense throughout this blackout, essentially using her loss of sight to outmaneuver the bad guys.
