This quote by Tommy Lasorda speaks with the concept that success can be a double-edged sword. On one hand, success can be exceptionally rewarding and can bring a sense of achievement and pride. On the other hand, success can be a limitation in that it does not prepare us for failure. When we experience success, we might become contented and not be prepared for the inescapable failures that come our method. We may become too comfy with our successes and not have the ability to deal with the frustration of failure. This quote is a pointer that success should not be considered given and that we need to constantly be gotten ready for failure. We need to use our successes as a learning chance and utilize them to help us much better get ready for the failures that will undoubtedly come our way.
