This quote by Ben Jonson is a tip that no matter what an individual wears or how they provide themselves, they are still the very same person beneath. It is a pointer that we need to not evaluate people based on their outward look, however rather on their character and actions. Jonson is recommending that no matter just how much a person may try to alter their outward appearance, they are still the very same person below. He is likewise recommending that we need to not be tricked by looks, as they can be tricking. We need to not be so quick to evaluate someone based upon their clothes or other outside looks, as they may not be indicative of who they really are. Jonson is advising us that we should not be so fast to evaluate somebody based upon their outward appearance, as it might not be a precise representation of who they are.
