By doing this, we can recognize which premise is wrong and therefore solve the obvious contradiction. This quote is a suggestion that we should constantly question our presumptions and be open to the possibility that we might be wrong. It is likewise a tip that we must not be as well quick to approve contradictions as truth, yet instead put in the time to analyze our facilities and establish which one is wrong. By doing this, we can avoid making inaccurate assumptions and can much better understand the world around us.
