It is a sad truth that many individuals are apathetic to the battles of those living in hardship and homelessness, and rather of doing something about it to assist, they choose to overlook the issue. This apathy is maddening to those who are aware of the concern and are trying to make a difference. It is necessary to keep in mind that those living in poverty and homelessness are real people with real battles, and they deserve to be treated with regard and self-respect. It depends on us to take action and make a distinction in the lives of those residing in hardship and homelessness.
