Confucius believed that the foundation of a strong and successful nation begins with the integrity and values practiced within the house. It is through instilling these virtues in the family that they can be performed into the more comprehensive society, making the country stronger and more virtuous as a whole. Without a strong structure in the home, a country might have a hard time to maintain integrity and morality, causing its failure. Therefore, Confucius placed excellent emphasis on the importance of creating a virtuous and sincere home life as the structure for constructing a strong nation.
