"There is not enough religion in the world even to destroy religion"
- Friedrich Nietzsche
About this Quote
Friedrich Nietzsche is suggesting that regardless of there being various types of religion in the world, none have the power to eradicate religious beliefs totally. Simply put, religious beliefs is deeply ingrained in humanity, and even those who react versus it are still engaging with religious ideas and concepts. Nietzsche might be indicating that religious beliefs is not something that can be simply "ruined" - it is a complex and relentless aspect of human culture and society that can not be quickly gotten rid of.
"No one is born hating another person because of the color of his skin, or his background, or his religion. People must learn to hate, and if they can learn to hate, they can be taught to love, for love comes more naturally to the human heart than its opposite"
