"To restore America we need less Marx and more Madison"
- Glenn Beck
About this Quote
This quote by Glenn Beck is a phone call to action for Americans to move away from the suggestions of Karl Marx as well as accept the suggestions of James Madison. Marx was a German philosopher who supported for an egalitarian culture as well as the topple of capitalism. Madison was an American Founding Father who contributed in the production of the United States Constitution. He relied on a restricted government and the security of private civil liberties. Beck is recommending that if we wish to bring back America, we need to focus on the concepts of Madison as opposed to those of Marx. This means that we need to concentrate on the concepts of minimal government, individual civil liberties, and the policy of regulation. We must also make every effort to create a society where everybody has the opportunity to do well and where the government does not interfere with the legal rights of people. By accepting the suggestions of Madison, we can recover America to its former magnificence.
