This quote by Edmund Burke speaks with the significance of the relationship between man and God. He is recommending that when male is detached from God, it also leads to a disconnection between guy and man. This is since when male is not linked to God, he is not living in accordance with the moral and ethical concepts that God has set out. Without these concepts, man is more likely to act in selfish and damaging ways, which can lead to a breakdown in relationships between individuals. Burke is stressing the value of man's relationship with God in order to preserve healthy relationships with other people. He is suggesting that when male is connected to God, it causes a higher sense of unity and understanding in between individuals.
