Biography

Saul Hudson (born in Hampstead, London, England), known by his stage name Slash, is a British-American guitarist. He became known as a member of the band Guns N 'Roses, in which he played between 1985 and 1996. Later, he played in bands Slash's Snakepit and Velvet Revolver, and gave out 2010 solo debut album, Slash.

In the middle of the 1970s moved Saul to his grandmother in Stoke-On-Trent, where he lived until he turned 11 So he moved back with her mother to Los Angeles, California, USA. There, he joined the Beverly Hills High School, among other things, along with the upcoming movie star Nicolas Cage and singer Lenny Kravitz, as he was good friends with and have worked together on some occasions. He also went along with Dave Kushner as he now plays with the Velvet Revolver.

The first stringed instrument he was an old guitar he got from his grandmother. In his early career he was also influenced by artists such as Aerosmith, Queen, The Rolling Stones, Jimi Hendrix and Jeff Beck. He soon became adept at guitar, and he took music lessons, but he would much rather learn to play yourself. He eventually began in school, and participated in a trial game where the winner was solo guitarist in the glam rock band Poison. Slash did well on the test, but the very final stages, he was knocked out of CC DeVille. After that he played in several small bands, such as the Road Crew and Black Sheep.
