Plot
The story focuses on Don Champagne (Patrick Wilson), a successful businessman who runs a furniture shop. The adultery makes complex when Dusty claims to be pregnant with Don's infant and desires him to leave Mona to be with her. Faced with this predicament, Don confesses to Mona, hoping for a tranquil resolution.

The Dark Turn

Rather of solving things with Dusty, Mona chooses to eliminate her, making it appear as if Dusty was a trespasser. When Dusty is out of the picture, she blackmails Don into assisting her cover up the murder, further complicating the situation.

The Downfall
Matters get murkier when Dusty's partner Murphy (James Belushi) comes trying to find her. Murphy, believing that Don and Mona are taking advantage of Dusty's injustice, decides to blackmail them. Set off by the danger, Mona winds up killing Murphy also. The series of murders gradually start to unravel their ideal image in the society as remains begin appearing and questions develop.

The Climax
In a climactic surface, Mona attempts to eliminate Don when the authorities start closing in on them. Nevertheless, Don endures the hit, recovers, and collects the guts to turn the tables on Mona. In the final act, Mona ends up dying in a cops shootout and Don gets away scot-free.

He blames the murders on Mona and uses this experience as a turning point, pledging to become a much better man and daddy to his children. Unfortunately, his liberty is short-lived when it is revealed that Dusty was not really pregnant, stimulating a hint of his previous coming back to haunt him.

Conclusion
