When a CIA operation to purchase classified Russian documents is blown by a rival agent, who then shows up in the sleepy seaside village where Bourne and Marie have been living. The pair run for their lives and Bourne, who promised retaliation should anyone from his former life attempt contact, is forced to once again take up his life as a trained assassin to survive.

Introduction

Plot

A corrupt agent, Ward Abbott (Brian Cox), is angered as a young CIA official, Pamela Landy (Joan Allen), tries to expose a secret program called "Treadstone", formerly led by Abbott and where Bourne was the star operative. To keep his dark tricks hidden, Abbott frames Bourne for the criminal activities dedicated by another assassin, Kirill (Karl Urban), consisting of the murder of two CIA representatives.

Running and Confrontations

Bourne, driven by revenge and the quest for truth, returns to Europe, understanding numerous clues about his previous life. Utilizing his innovative abilities in battle and strategy, he ruined those attempting to eliminate him while being pursued by police and CIA. This causes a series of high-speed chases after and close-combat encounters with his foes, producing tension-filled cinematic sequences.

Intense Climax
The climax of the film presents Bourne finding Abbott, revealing him as the true villain behind the events. He gets Abbott to confess his outrageous use of the Treadstone project for producing callous, conditioned assassins. With this evidence, Bourne exposes Abbott to the CIA, causing his downfall.

Denouement
In a last act of conscience, Bourne faces one of his making it through past victims, apologizing for his actions, representing the maturation in his character. The motion picture ends with Bourne plunging back into hiding, with hints of him being pursued by the CIA and Landy.
