This could include anything from wearing makeup to getting a hairstyle. In the past, people may have been more judgemental of those who selected to do things to improve their appearances, but now it is more widely accepted. Individuals are more open up to the idea that everybody can do whatever they wish to make themselves feel more positive and attractive. It is no longer viewed as vain or shallow to take care of one's look, however rather as a method to reveal oneself and feel excellent about oneself.
