It is a pointer that we need to not be too tough on ourselves when our work does not turn out the way we had actually hoped. It is also a suggestion that we must not be too critical of others when their work does not satisfy our expectations. We should rather value the effort that entered into producing it. This quote is a suggestion that we ought to strive for quality, however likewise accept that often our work will not be perfect.
