People are continuously trying to find methods to distinguish themselves from others, and making contrasts is one method to do this. It is a natural instinct to compare ourselves to others, whether it remain in regards to physical appearance, intelligence, wealth, or any other step of success. Contrasts can be used to inspire us to pursue more, or to make us feel insufficient. They can likewise be used to make us feel much better about ourselves, by comparing ourselves to those who are less fortunate. Contrasts can be a source of both positive and negative sensations, depending upon the context. Eventually, individuals will constantly make contrasts, as it belongs of our nature.
