"Days will prove that the assassination policy will not finish the Hamas. Hamas leaders wish to be martyrs and are not scared of death. Jihad will continue and the resistance will continue until we have victory, or we will be martyrs"

- Ahmed Yassin

About this Quote

In this quote, Ahmed Yassin, the founder and spiritual leader of the Palestinian militant group Hamas, is expressing his belief that the assassination policy of the Israeli federal government will not achieve success in getting rid of Hamas. He argues that the leaders of Hamas want to die for their cause and therefore can not be frightened by the danger of death. Yassin likewise states that the struggle, or jihad, will continue till Hamas achieves success or till its members become martyrs.
