Steven Adler (born in Cleveland, Ohio, U.S.) is an American drummer.
Adler replaced Guns N 'Roses original drummer Rob Gardner in 1985. He played drums on the music album Appetite for Destruction, GN 'R Lies, and the song "Civil War" from the music album Use Your Illusion II. The recording of "Civil War" took too long because of Adler's substance abuse. Because of this, he was replaced by Matt Sorum in 1990.
Before Guns N 'Roses, he played with Slash and Duff McKagan the band Road Crew. When Velvet Revolver was formed in 2002, he wanted to continue playing with its former Road Crew musicians, but this did not happen. Instead he formed the band Adler's Appetite year.
