- William Hazlitt

About this Quote

This quote by William Hazlitt speaks to the concept that our pals are typically going to do anything for us, other than the something we really want them to do. This could be interpreted in a couple of different ways. First of all, it might be viewed as a commentary on the problem of requesting help. We might be too ashamed or afraid to ask for the aid we need, so our friends are not able to offer it. Secondly, it might be viewed as a pointer that our buddies are incline readers. They might not have the ability to guess what we require or desire, so they are not able to supply it. Finally, it might be viewed as a pointer that our good friends are not ideal. They might not constantly be able to offer us with the assistance we need, and that is all right. Eventually, this quote acts as a tip that our friends are there for us, however they are not constantly able to offer us with the help we require.
